Drivers are to face long delays as one of the county's busiest routes closes for roadworks, sending drivers on a lengthy diversion.
The closure on the A149 Cromer Road will add around an hour onto journeys as the official diversion route spans 44 miles.
The closure in North Walsham will run from southeast of Kingsway to northwest of Bradfield Road.

The work will be undertaken by BT to test telegraph poles.
Roadworks will begin at 9.30am on October 18 and run until 3.30pm the same day.
Emergency access will be maintained throughout.
The diversion will take motorists north to Roughton, down to Aylsham, and onto the NDR before heading back to North Walsham via Wroxham.
