A man from Lowestoft has been fined hundreds of pounds and banned from driving after failing to give information to the police about who was driving a vehicle in Suffolk.

Connor Faulkner, of Beccles Road, Lowestoft, was asked for information relating to the driver of an Austin Mini Cooper, as the police believed an offence had been committed in November of last year.

However, Faulkner, 29, did not give them the information.

Charges were brought against him by Suffolk police, and he was found guilty to failing to give information relating to the identification of a vehicle when required.

The defendant failed to appear at Suffolk Magistrates' Court and the case was heard in his absence. He was disqualified from driving for six months.

His legal costs amounted to £110 with an additional surcharge £48 added on.

He was also fined £120, taking the total amount of money he has to pay out to £278, to be paid out in full.

His driving licence was endorsed with six points, according to a court listing.
