Norfolk young farmers have paddled 26 miles through the Broads in a gruelling canoeing marathon to raise money for charity.
Four members of North Walsham Young Farmers' Club (YFC) made the 10-hour journey from Coltishall to Dilham, raising around £1,000 for the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity.
The hospice gives palliative care to patients in Norfolk and was described as "a charity close to the hearts of many members of North Walsham YFC".
The canoeing marathon attempt was initially planned for the summer, but was initially delayed because of bad weather.
So the team was glad to finally reach their goal on Sunday - and grateful for a tailwind which helped them across the exhausting expanse of Barton Broad towards the end of their journey.
Lucy Bean, who completed the challenge alongside fellow team members Alice Saunders, Bonnie Oakley and Danny Bunting, said: "I think everybody is very proud of their efforts, and glad that we have done it.
"We started off by saying we would do a little paddle, but then we realised if we would like to get people to sponsor us, we needed to make it quite challenging.
"One of us came up with the idea of doing a marathon and got an app to work out the distance on the river. We set a route, and how long we thought it would take - and everybody we told said: 'You are never going to do that!'
"No training was involved - we picked up the Canadian canoe at 10pm the night before. We just got out on the water and gave it a go.
"At the end, everybody said they felt like they were a lot older than they were - there were a lot of wobbly legs and achy shoulder. But we learned a lot about each other after so many hours together on the water."
