Hayden Ling of Armultra Ltd has been named winner of the Apprentice of the Year award, sponsored by Apprenticeships Norfolk, at the EDP Norfolk Education Awards 2024.
Having completed his three-year apprenticeship, Hayden Ling has exceeded all expectations and has been able to push himself further, gaining his welder qualification and pursuing his offshore qualification.
Hayden has shown outstanding technical excellence, initiative and leadership capabilities. He has conducted interviews on behalf of Armultra for the Sizewell C project, along with mentoring level 1 and 2 students, fostering a high-performing learning environment.
Hayden’s interest and passion for the industry wowed the judges, along with his investment in supporting his peers and the way that he goes above and beyond in his role.
Commenting on Hayden’s award, Karl Pull, senior project manager at Armultra, said: “This is a wonderful achievement to be recognised for all the hard work that he’s done, and just really pleased he has been awarded.”

Apprentice HR coordinator Bradie Mitchell has shown a real flair for her role, as she took on extra tasks including payroll checks and DBS processing.
Bradie’s eagerness to learn and willingness to support her team make her a valued asset.
Finalist: Neil Williams of Infinite Electrics
Transitioning from financial services to electrical installation through an apprenticeship with Infinite Electrics, Neil has shown exceptional dedication.
His willingness to take on responsibilities both in the classroom and on-site has earned him praise from both instructors and employers.
