A developer's hopes of building 26 homes have prompted a growing backlash that has generated nearly 100 objections.
People living near the proposed estate in Downham Market are worried about the scheme, which aims to construct homes on land next to Willows Nature Reserve.
They have raised concerns over the potential harm this will have on wildlife in the area.

A developer wants to build a mixture of flats and terraced and detached houses on land south of Railway Road right next to the wildlife haven.
The site, tucked between an industrial estate and derelict land, comprises wetland areas and green space that is cherished by local nature lovers.

People writing to West Norfolk Council have called the plans "preposterous" while others worry it will lead to the destruction of the habitat at Willow Nature Reserve which locals say is visited by rare birds.
Downham Market Town Council has also reiterated its objections.
