From a new B&M store to a dog grooming salon, here is a round-up of five public notices to be aware of in Norfolk this week. 

1. Roadworks in Great Yarmouth

Drivers have been told to expect delays for the duration of the work (Image: Google Maps)Several roads are going to be closed later this month for the installation of a new gas mains line. 

Cadent Gas will be carrying out the work in Sandown Road, North Denes Road, Factory Road, and Nelson Road.

The work is set to start on October 13 and end on October 18, with two-way signal traffic controls in place.

2. Death notice

Alison Jane Buxton who lived at Saracen Road, Norwich, died on July 19 and her home was left in the hands of local administrators.

Under the Trustee Act 1925, any persons having a claim against or an interest in the estate are required to send written inquiries to Cozens-Hardy LLP, on Castle Chambers, Opie Street, Norwich.

All inquiries must be submitted by November 8.

3. Surrey Street roadworks

The work will last six days (Image: Google Maps) Roadworks lasting six days will take place in Surrey Street at the junction with St Stephens Street later this month.

Beginning on October 13, National Highways under Norfolk County Council will be conducting routine repairs and maintenance work on the paving.

A diversion has been put in place around St Stephens Street, Queens Road, and All Saints Green.

4. Dog grooming salon

Great Yarmouth Borough Council has received an application for the development of a dog grooming salon.

The request has been made to change the dining room in the Mariners Compass Public House in Gorleston to the parlour. 

People have until October 11 to raise any concerns about the plans.

5. New B&M store

B&M is set to open a new store in Great Yarmouth (Image Newsquest)

B&M has applied to Great Yarmouth Borough Council for a premises licence for the former Wilko store in the Market Gates Shopping Centre.

The licence will allow the store to sell alcohol and open from 7.00am to 11pm, seven days a week.

Representations for or against the application can be lodged with the Borough Council in writing or by emailing, licensing@great-yarmouth.gov.uk before October 18.
