Noise-cancelling headphones and motorised trolleys are among the items purchased by a hospital charity.
The QEHKL Charity has donated more than £12,500 to improve patient and staff experiences at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.
The Room for Improvement scheme, which is funded by the charity, aims to support staff in implementing initiatives that benefit both staff and patients.
As a result, the hospital now has 30 noise-cancelling headphones for patients who become anxious and overstimulated during hospital visits, six reclining chairs for the day surgery unit, and two motorised pharmacy trolleys.

The idea for the headphones came from Beth Stone, who suggested the idea after her autistic son became distressed during a hospital visit.
She said: “In the rush and panic I forgot to bring his ear-defending headphones which he relies on in busy and sensory-overloading environments.
“For autistic and neurodivergent individuals, the intense and often overwhelming sensory input in a hospital setting can be highly distressing."
Samantha Taylor, the trust’s charity manager, said: “These purchases embody the spirit of this charity-funded scheme, supporting both patients and staff in meaningful ways."
