The mayor of Wisbech surprised a care home resident during her birthday celebrations.
Councillor Sidney Imafidon visited Rose Lodge Care Home to join Barbara and her fellow residents at her birthday tea party.
Barbara was thrilled to meet the mayor, making her special day even more memorable.
Councillor Imafidon expressed his joy in meeting and engaging with seniors in the community.
Following the mayor's visit, Barbara said: “it’s been such a wonderful surprise seeing the Mayor, he is such a lovely man and it was an honour to wear the mayoral chains.
"I felt very special. It has been a wonderful birthday.”
Megan Jones, general manager at Rose Lodge, said: “It was lovely to have Mayor Sidney Imafidon here for the day.
"The residents were delighted that he was able to visit us and join in on the high tea fun.
"We all had a wonderful day and we hope that Sidney will come to see us again soon.”
Rose Lodge Care Home, run by Barchester Healthcare, provides various types of care for 56 residents.
