Nearly 30 new homes have been given the green light for a city suburb after six years in the pipeline.

The houses would be built in the St Giles Park development in Cringleford which is already the site of hundreds of new builds

Big Sky Developments, which South Norfolk Council owns, filed a planning application in December 2018 but the decision process was drawn out after it received a large number of objections.

But after several revisions to the initial proposal which included a nutrient neutrality assessment it was approved by council officials so long as the construction materials are carefully considered.

Big Sky will also need to contribute £530,000 to local infrastructure projects as part of a community levy if the builds go ahead.
