A children's nursery has revealed the finished improvements at one of its locations to help babies and toddlers have even more fun.
Little Footsteps Childcare in Mattishall, near Dereham, was granted planning permission to extend its provision by installing a portable cabin on its premises.
The cabin will be used to accommodate an additional 18 children, with nine spaces allocated for those under two and nine for those aged between two and four.
The new room is a purpose-built baby unit and also has its own garden.
Mrs Nevill said: "The extension will enrich the children’s experiences within the setting as the babies now have a purpose built baby room, this is a home-from-home environment with lots for them to explore.
"The original room has been developed with various different sections giving the children plenty of learning opportunities to engage in.
"We have developed a sensory area where the children can explore a range of sensory toys and explore different emotions, further developed the role-play area and given the reading area a make over as reading in the early years has been proven to be very important," she said.
The extension has also come with its own garden revamp.
Mrs Nevill said: "We love to explore the outside and allow the children to spend time in the fresh air and get plenty of exercise.
"We will also be developing a garden growing area where the children will be able to help us grow various fruit and vegetables, which they will get to enjoy as a snack."
The nursery's Dereham operation was issued with a welfare requirements notice following a number of issues relating to childcare provision.
Mrs Nevill said the safety and wellbeing of that nursery's children continues to be its "highest priority".
