From a hit musical to a city-wide beer festival, there is lots to look forward to in Norfolk in October.
1. Autumn Showcase Gala

There will be six locomotives in action over the weekend on the heritage railway.
This includes a trio of special guests - No 4277 “Hercules”, Class 25 D7659 and the newly-built 6880 “Betton Grange”.
At Holt, visitors can discover more about traditional railway signalling in the restored Reedham Junction Signalbox.
2. Come From Away

This hit Broadway and West End musical is currently touring the UK and Ireland.
It tells the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11.
The ensemble cast includes Amanda Henderson as Beulah & Others and she is best known for playing Robyn Miller in BBC's Casualty.

3. PrimEvil

PrimEvil, named the 'UK's best scream park event' at ScareCon 2024, returns this Halloween with even more twists and turns.
Scare actors will roam the site during the evening and there will be five haunts.
They are Werehouse 51: Toxic Mutation, Mayhem Manor: Hotel Apocalypse, The Crypt: Black Death, Circus of Terror: Freaked Out and Route 666: Forest of Fear.
4. Autumn Lights

There will be two fireworks displays choreographed to music and a stellar line-up of entertainment.
This includes DJ and presenter Ryan Swain, the party band HUGE, LED drummers, a fire show and music headliner Phats & Small.
For an additional charge, there will also be fairground rides and tasty food and drink.

5. Norwich Beer Festival

For one year only, the Norwich Beer Festival is taking place across multiple venues while essential restoration work is carried out at The Halls.
Expect tap takeovers, guided pub tours, mini beer festivals, quizzes, live music and much more.
A World Beer Pop-up will be in Castle Social, on level three of the Castle Quarter, from October 31 to November 3.
The pubs and breweries taking part have chosen which charities receive the proceeds from their events.
6. Norwich Book Festival

Taking place in England’s first UNESCO City of Literature, Norwich Book Festival is a celebration of stories for all kinds of readers.
This new event has been developed by The Forum in collaboration with key partners including the University of East Anglia and the National Centre for Writing.
The line-up includes novelist Alison Weir, former Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho, Booker-shortlisted Andrew Miller and BBC Short Story Prize winner Naomi Wood.

7. Halloween Spooktacular

Jack Jay and Johnny Mac return with another spooky adventure for all the family over the October half-term holiday.
They will be joined by an international cast and fancy dress is encouraged.
