A man accused of driving while banned has been charged with getting behind the wheel while disqualified on two previous occasions.
Arunas Gaudutis, 60, has pleaded not guilty to driving a Jeep on Ipswich Road in Norwich without a valid licence.
Appearing at Norwich Magistrates’ Court and speaking through a Lithuanian interpreter, he also denied being unfit to drink through drink and having no insurance after being stopped on August 11 2024.
The court heard he denied having been the driver.
He was given unconditional bail until he stands trial at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on July 21 next year.

Gaudutis, of Woodcock Road in Norwich, has been charged twice before with driving while disqualified.
In October 2022 he was accused of driving a Mitsubishi Outlander on Low Road at Keswick and on Woodcock Road in Norwich while banned within two weeks.
People convicted of driving while disqualified can be jailed for up to six months for the most serious offenders.
Additional disqualifications can also be imposed. The penalty varies depending on the circumstances of the offence.
