A new two-storey restaurant and café complex is set for Lowestoft.

Local construction company P.J. Spillings will deliver the second phase of work at the Jubilee Parade development - subject to the signing of contracts.  

A two-storey restaurant and café complex is planned as well as three new food vendors, public toilets, and a Changing Places facility for those with accessibility needs.

External lighting for the new complex and the lower promenade, the completion of the beach buildout, new outdoor accessible showers and a new accessible lift are also planned.

The project is set to start in October and could be complete come the end of next summer.

Tim Wilson, East Suffolk’s cabinet member for economic development and transport said: “We are pleased to award the construction contract for Jubilee Parade to a local business and are looking forward to seeing the next phase of this exciting development take shape.

"The new complex will greatly improve the facilities on offer at this part of the seafront and will also increase seafront access for everyone.”

A spokesperson for P.J. Spillings added: “We are ecstatic to be back on board with the Jubilee Parade project team to deliver this incredible build, which will help progress the regeneration plans for Lowestoft.”
