A man who almost killed a friend after glassing him in a row over a phone has been warned he faces years in prison.
The horrific attack saw Jordan Barber, 25, hit the other man in the face with a glass before repeatedly punching him with the glass still in his hand.
His victim was left with life-threatening injuries with a slash to his temporal artery.
Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told he suffered 16 lacerations to his face and neck during the attack in a pub on Prince of Wales Road in Norwich on May 31.
He had sought help from the SOS bus where medical volunteers discovered one cut below his ear had severed the artery with potential fatal blood loss.

Nicola Lamb, prosecuting, said both men had been drinking with friends when a prank involving a phone had turned nasty.
Barber, of Jubilee Way in Necton, near Swaffham, pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm. He will be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on October 28.
Deputy District Judge Claire Furlong told him: “The guidelines say this should be years rather than months in prison, but it is not for me to decide.”
