Parents desperate to get their hands on this week’s must-have at Aldi have been left frustrated as the item is now being sold for £100 on eBay.

The outrage comes after chairs depicting characters Bluey and Bingo from the children's television series Bluey quickly sold out at Aldi stores.

The chairs went viral when they first hit Aldi shelves in April with parents paying up to five times the price to pick one up as stores quickly sold out.

One parent from Norfolk said: "These were on Facebook and eBay and vinted for triple the price and some within half an hour of Aldi opening. We wanted one for our little one but had no luck at all."

Another parent said: "I went to every Aldi in Norwich and they had sold out of every single one by about 10am. Most shops were only allocated three to four."

Other branches across Norfolk including Thetford and Dereham also reportedly had “nothing left”.

"Unfortunately lots of people buy them and put them on Vinted and eBay for 10 times the price and the kids miss out," added a Dereham local.

Aldi has been contacted for comment.
