A local jewellery business is expanding its range after purchasing a vital piece of equipment.
Laserlydesigns based in Norwich was launched in 2018 by Sarah Reynolds who creates unique pieces of jewellery using acrylic offcuts from her collections.
The fine art graduate is now able to make “bigger” and “beautiful” sheets of recycled acrylic for her designs thanks to her new large-format heat press.
She has also launched a recycling service for artists who want to recycle their acrylic offcuts.

"The idea of recycling started after I saw how many acrylic offcuts I had accumulated from my acrylic jewellery-making business,” the 53-year-old said.
“During lockdown, I researched how to recycle acrylic and got in contact with Offcut Studios in Leeds, where I learnt how to make new acrylic sheets using a hydraulic heat press.
“Not only is this a more sustainable option, but the sheets really are beautiful. I can choose which colours to use to create wonderful patterns.”
Ms Reynolds, who also creates commissioned work, sells her designs online and at art markets across the region.
