A garden centre is kickstarting the Christmas spirit with a new festive shop and Santa Claus meet and greets. 

Sprowston Garden Centre in Blue Boar Lane is set to open its new Christmas shop on October 5 - around 11 weeks before the big day.  

The festivities have become very popular with many fans of the festive season waiting for the unveiling of the interactive displays full of exclusive decorations.

"The must-haves this year are our Christmas rats and dinosaurs.

"The store will be full of interactive experiences and photo opportunities.

"Both our gingerbread house and singing reindeer will be back by popular demand."

"Magical" events such as breakfast or afternoon tea with Santa himself with promises of games and food are also available for booking. 

"They all add to the experience and the kids love them," Mr Marlow added.
