A Norwich pub is hosting a special event this autumn with an "endless supply of food and wine".

The Weavers Arms in Muspole Street is celebrating​ Beaujolais Nouveau Day for the second year. 

It is marked in France on the third Thursday in November with fireworks, music and festivals when the Beaujolais region releases its new wines.

The five-course French menu includes onion soup, Butler steak, fries and green sauce, Toulouse cassoulet, crème brûlée and, to finish, a selection of cheeses with chutney and crackers.

George Colley, who owns the pub with Natty Crothers, said: "‘After a really fun and enjoyable evening last November, we have decided to host another Beaujolais Nouveau dinner.

"We will celebrate the end of harvest with young and fruity red wines. 

"It is slightly more indulgent this year with an endless supply of food and wine.

"There will also be a surprise or two thrown into the mix."
