Almost 60 home-made karts took part in the event at Hunstanton on Sunday.

A fiendish chicane and formidable jump took their toll, thinning out the competition on the way down the course.

The course was lined by large crowds of spectators, despite a soggy start to the afternoon heat.

It was relaunched by West Norfolk Council in 2017 and soon became one of Hunstanton's biggest free events.
The final run of the day was a lap of honour, with Roger Partridge at the wheel of the kart raced by the town's retained fire crew.
Mr Partridge, who has organised the event since it was reborn seven years ago, is soon to retired.
