In a post on Facebook, Stuart Francis said: "It is with great regret that I have to announce that The Lime Launderette will be permanently closing this month.
"For quite some time it has only managed to cover its own running costs and any machine repairs have been made at my own expense.
"I have reached out to public authorities with the power to give grants but this has proven to be fruitless and, therefore, the closure of the premises was a foregone conclusion.
"I would like to thank everyone who has, over the years, used the launderette."
The Lime Laundrette was the last specialist launderette in Attleborough, however there are self-service washer and dryer machines available to use outside the Dodd Road Stores and Post Office.
