A Norfolk couple have enjoyed sweet success at events in their ultra-rare ice cream van.

During the pandemic, Justyn Goff and Sam Bishop, from Holt, decided that they wanted to run a business together.

Then, in 2021, they came across a 1964 Volkswagon ice cream van for sale in Bath.

It was owned by a TV producer called Dan Dimbleby, who was also selling his business.

They became the proud owners of the world’s last remaining factory-built Volkswagen split-screen ice cream van and The Split Screen Ice Cream Co.

They have taken the vehicle, named Mimi after Mr Dimbleby's grandma, to festivals all over the country, including Glastonbury.

Speaking to Dubtales, which tells the stories of Adrian Flux customers, Ms Bishop said: "One thing that surprises us is the people who, when it rains, still queue for ice cream."

At each festival they go to with Mimi, they put a sign outside the van explaining its history.

The couple have now decided to sell the business in the upcoming months, hoping to pass on the dream to someone else.
