A man has pleaded guilty to strangling his wife of more than forty years in a row over a television remote control.
Clive Howlett, 68, admitted to one charge of intentional strangulation when he appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court.
The court heard that on May 14 Howlett committed the offence on his wife Christine, who he married in 1981.
It happened at the pair's home in Wrentham during a disagreement over the remote control.

Howlett is now living at a caravan park behind the Five Bells Pub in Southwold Road, Wrentham, between Lowestoft and Beccles.
He has been released on conditional bail and is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on October 16 for his sentencing.
