A village's surgery could soon have a new prescription dispenser where patients can collection their medication 24/7.
Watlington Medical Centre, near King's Lynn, has applied for planning permission to put a Pharmabox24 at its surgery on Rowan Close.
The device can hold up to 180 prescription bags.
In a planning statement, it says: "Experience has shown that, in the vast majority of instances, patients will collect from the Pharmabox24 during the medical centre and pharmacy’s normal opening hours.
"But it also provides patients, who cannot get to the surgery during opening hours, the opportunity to collect their prescriptions at their own convenience, meaning patients do not miss out taking their medicines."
It adds that the facility would also allow the pharmacy to operate more efficiently, reducing queuing time and allowing staff more time to spend with patients who need it.
