An investigation has been launched after four kittens were found abandoned in a field.
The eight-week-old felines were found roaming the land off Station Road, behind Connaught Hall in Attleborough.
Made up of three girls and one boy, the kittens were in a sorry state covered in fleas and needing attention.
A member of the public managed to collect the four and brought them into the care of the Feline Care Cat Rescue in East Harling.

The incident was reported to the RSPCA and Animal Rescue Officer David Allen has begun investigating.
Mr Allen said: “We are so thankful that the kittens were found and collected by a member of the public. They would have been very vulnerable if they had not been found.
“We would also like to thank the Feline Care Cat Rescue who are now caring for the kittens and providing them with a loving place of safety."
The team is investigating the incident and appealing to the public for information.

Anybody who may be able to help is asked to contact the RSPCA quoting incident 01339352.
He added: “We understand the financial difficulties some people are experiencing right now, however abandoning your pet is never the answer.
"There is help and support available and - as we all strive to create a better world for every animal - we would urge people to contact their vets, local rescues and animal welfare charities."
