A north Norfolk village has been named as one of the "loveliest autumn holidays to take in the UK" by a top travel magazine.

Condé Nast Traveller recognised Holkham as one of the top staycation destinations in the UK this autumn.

Highlighting its vast pinewood-backed beach as a standout attraction, it was recommended to those seeking peaceful coastal walks and local culinary delights.

"You can get your seafood fix at Gurneys Fish Shop in Burnham Market and the village high street is littered with independent shops, including The Hat Shop at Pentney House, an emporium of thousands of millinery creations."
