A butcher has been given planning permission for a new awning and signs on his shop - four years after installing them.
West Norfolk council has agreed a retrospective application for the awning on Bowers Butchers in King's Lynn.
The canopy, featuring a pig logo, went up to replace an earlier structure on the shop on Lynn Road, in Gaywood, in 2020.
In a planning statement, the business's agent says: "This is a traditional butcher’s shop, a local business not part of a national chain.

"The owner is a meticulous person who is very particular where he sources his supply from.
"The range of products often vary and occasionally there is something new or just-in items available to customers."
It adds similar advertisements are used by butchers across the country and "cause no demonstrable harm to anyone".
