New parking restrictions have been revealed for a busy coastal village beside a picturesque beach.

Locals were up in arms at Old Hunstanton earlier this year, when cones placed to deter selfish drivers from blocking up their roads were removed.

Now Norfolk County Council has published a new draft traffic order, with restrictions in force between Good Friday and September 30.

"The proposal is to prohibit parking and loading to increase visibility as a safety measure and to avoid accidents occurring.

It adds time limited street parking places will be in place near the village shop and post office.

Streets in the village are used by day-trippers and holidaymakers to avoid paying to park at West Norfolk Council's cliff top car park, which costs £10 a day during the summer months.
