Part of a Norfolk beach remains cordoned off after an unexploded bomb was found.

Police were called to Hemsby beach at about 10.20am on Friday after a member of the public discovered the item on the shoreline.

A police cordon was put in place and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team was called.

On Friday a spokeswoman for Norfolk Police said the tide had covered the unexploded bomb but that a cordon was in place.

The disposal team was spotted at the beach on Saturday.

A cordon remains in place on the beach on Sunday, but it is not yet clear if the unexploded device has been removed.
