Plans for a new "modest" café have been revealed for a tiny village of just 50 homes.

West Norfolk Council agreed plans for new holiday lets and a welcome barn at Church Farm at Fring, near Heacham, two years ago.

Now Oykel Farms has applied for a change of use for the barn, to accommodate a café described as "modest in scale".

"Beyond the tourism economy, the creation of a small café would offer a new facility to residents of Fring."

The hamlet, tucked away in the downs, has no shop, pub or any other facilities apart from its 14th-century church.
