Plans have emerged to transform a home in the heart of the Golden Triangle into a holiday let.

A two-bed house in Albert Terrace could soon become an Airbnb if plans submitted to Norwich City Council are approved.

The home has been unoccupied since June 2022 and has undergone a "significant" renovation in the two years since.

The holiday let will be managed by the applicant, Mr Payze, with the house available to rent for around 270 days, or 75pc, of the year.

With only two bedrooms in the house, the plans promise that there will only be a "small number of guests at any one time."

According to Lanpro, which has created the proposals for the house, this "will support the local economy by providing essential visitor accommodation to this area of the city."

The house is located just off Newmarket Road and is "extremely good access" from the city centre, with St Stephen's Street. just a short walk away.

City Hall will aim to make a decision about the plans by October 31.
