A man is set to stand trial accused of assaulting a woman on a popular walking and cycling path in Norwich.
Derry Bates, 44, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence.
It follows an alleged attack on Marriott's Way, near Barker Street, shortly before 1.30pm on May 23 this year.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but has since been discharged.
The case was up at Norwich Crown Court this week when Bates, of no fixed abode, denied both offences.
A trial will take place on November 18 this year.
