The poll asked people whether they would be prepared to have council tax increased by an average of £9.50 a year to keep free parking at Breckland Council's car parks.
More than three quarters supported this measure.

A spokesman for Dereham Town Council said: "The overwhelming response - 81pc - was that the cost of the car parks should be met by adding an additional £9.50 a year on council tax."
As well as Dereham, the charges are due to be introducted next year in Swaffham, Attleborough, Thetford and Watton.
Breckland is consulting on the details.
