Two teenagers have been charged with criminal damage after a tyre was thrown at a moving vehicle, smashing its windscreen.

Police were called to Dereham Road in Costessey just after 10.30pm on Sunday following reports of the incident.

Response officers and the dog unit attended and searched the area for the suspects.

On Monday, two teenage boys were arrested and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

They have since been charged with criminal damage and released on conditional bail.

Until they attend Norwich Youth Court on September 16 and September 23, they must abide by a curfew and not contact one another or enter the Hampden housing estate off Dereham Road.
