The owner of a popular coffee shop on the city outskirts is having to close due to the effects of his brain tumour.

Simon Kindleysides, from Blofield, opened One Cup or Two in March last year.

The business in The Street, Costessey, quickly became popular and expanded to a second room after just a month.

But Mr Kindleysides' health issues - a functional neurological disorder and a glioma brain tumour which has left him paralysed from the waist down - have forced him to close for good.

Mr Kindleysides said: "Closing the doors is heartbreaking but I have no choice.

"I've worked so hard since the beginning and it's broken me mentally and physically.

"There's a lot going on in my personal life currently, with the brain tumour troubling me and working six days a week was taking its toll.

The shop will serve its last cup on Sunday, September 15.

Mr Kindleysides opened his shop with a wealth of experience in hospitality, which he was keen to return to the industry as a business owner.

Despite his health issues he built his business rapidly and it became a popular destination in the area.
