The finalists of the EDP Norfolk Education Awards 2024 have been revealed – and what a fantastic example of our county’s education sector they are!

Choosing the finalists (listed below) was a tough job for our judges, who had to narrow entries down to just three finalists per category.

The judging process was an inspiring experience for the panel, who were deeply impressed by the exceptional quality of the entries. It was clear from every submission that there is a strong passion within the education sector to go above and beyond in serving students, colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

The dedication displayed by the nominees was nothing short of remarkable, highlighting the commitment educators have to making a meaningful impact. Whether in the areas of teaching and learning, student wellbeing, extra-curricular opportunities, or the arts, each entry demonstrated a clear focus on enriching the educational experience.

The judges were particularly moved by how nominees invested not only in the academic growth of their students, but also in their overall wellbeing, ensuring that their schools were supportive, creative and nurturing environments.

Moreover, the contributions towards teacher development and staff wellbeing were a testament to the holistic approach many schools are taking to foster professional growth and sustain the energy and enthusiasm of their teams.

The creativity, care and hard work that each nominee brought to their schools cannot be underestimated. It was truly encouraging for the judges to witness such a collective dedication to making a positive difference across all aspects of school life.

Stephanie Griffin, head of events and promotions, said: “The EDP is incredibly proud to host the Norfolk Education Awards, giving us the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the remarkable dedication within the education sector.

“It’s an honour to celebrate the passion and hard work that educators, staff and school communities put in to make a difference in the lives of students across Norfolk.”

We would also like to say a big thank you to our headline sponsor, Step Teachers, and all the category sponsors – we wouldn’t be able to give our finalists the recognition they deserve without them.

The winners will be announced at a celebration event at The Forum, Norwich, on Tuesday, October 1. Don’t miss the dedicated winners supplement in the paper on Friday, October 4.
