National Highways has confirmed the dates of another set of A47 closures in Norfolk.

Between 8pm and 6am on September 12 and September 13, the Acle roundabout at the junctions with the A47 and A1064 will be closed for resurfacing work.

The westbound A47 between Acle and the Vauxhall roundabout in Great Yarmouth will be fully closed but the eastbound A47 will only be closed by default, due to the closure of the roundabout.

Traffic coming from Branch Road will be able to join the eastbound A47 to Great Yarmouth.

Lorrys travelling eastbound from Trowse Newton will be sent southbound on the A146, on to the A143 at Gillingham, to re-join the A47 at Beccles Road.

Westbound traffic should follow the reverse.

Local traffic to Great Yarmouth can take the A1064 and travel along the A149 southbound until re-joining the A47 at Acle New Road.

Local traffic to Postwick should exit the A1064, turn right on to Old Road and continue to Acle Road via Bridewell Lane and South Walsham Road.

From here, drivers should go through South Walsham to join the B1140, continue over the Norwich Road roundabout to Norwich Road and turn left at Broadland Northway before following the road southbound to the Postwick Interchange.
