Two women were rescued after being cut off by a rising tide.
The pair, aged in their 20s and 30s, were at Scolt Head, near Brancaster, when their path back to shore became blocked.
The Hunstanton RNLI team was paged just after 5.30pm on Wednesday and volunteers launched the Spirit of West Norfolk inshore lifeboat.
The crew was able to locate the women and bring them safely back to the beach at Brancaster where they were met by HM Coastguard.
The lifeboat returned to the station at 7pm and the women were not injured.
