"We are really looking forward to bringing the dash to life again.

"It was so popular the first time”

The Lord Mayor also pledged his participation, promising to honour the event's winners with rosettes.

Alongside the activities, visitors can enjoy refreshments and prizes, ensuring a fun-filled day for everyone.

MXPEG, the host group, is a collective of people living in Mile Cross keen on community development projects.

They meet every six weeks to celebrate local achievements, share resources, and plan events.

Following the successful first edition of the Galley Hill Dash in 2021, MXPEG received generous support from local groups and locals for this year's instalment.

These include Norwich Consolidated Charities, Epic Norfolk, Common Lot, Phoenix Centre, Sustrans, Rotary, and Norwich City Council, with locals donating wheelbarrows and their time as volunteers.

Proceeds from the Galley Hill Dash will fund MXPEG's community development projects, including seven gardening and conservation initiatives in Mile Cross.
