A Norfolk Broads footpath is to close for a week as the county council completes a new river crossing.

The Coltishall footpath that runs from the High Street to the Mayton Road path will be partially closed on September 9 for seven days of work.

The work will see the footbridge being replaced.

Parts of the path are required to be closed to maintain a safe working area for the subcontractors at the site.

A spokesman for Norfolk County Council said: " The county council thanks people for their patience while this maintenance work is carried out."

The work will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and their contractors.
