An upcoming festival showcasing flamingos will offer half-price entry for children if they dress like the colourful birds.

Pensthorpe Nature Reserve will be a flurry of feathers and fun during its Flamingo Festival on the weekend of September 28 and 29.

The two-day event aims to highlight the reserve’s flock of 66 greater flamingos.

"Families can enjoy a whole host of activities over the weekend, and it really is one not to be missed.

"We’re looking for everyone to fully immerse themselves in the theme which is why we’re offering half-price entry for any children who go all out and dress to impress.”

The festival is between 10am and 5pm each day, and visitors are reminded that along with the themed activities, Pensthorpe's stunning views, bird hides, sculptures, play areas and countless opportunities to connect with nature will still be available.
