Around 1,000 homes lost electricity after an electrical power cable came down over a footpath.
UK Power Networks engineers are currently on site in Beighton, near Acle, working to repair an overhead power line.
The incident originally affected electricity supplies to about 1,000 properties shortly after 1pm today.
More than 100 homes from Acle to Reedham are still without power.
A fire crew from Acle were called at 1.11pm and made the arcing cables safe.
Power has been restored to the majority of homes in stages.
A spokesman from UK Power Networks said: "We are working to return power to the final 106 customers as quickly and as safely as possible.
"Our engineers have been in contact with us to let us know that the repairs are more extensive than they first thought.
"To give them time to do this safely, the estimated time frame to restore the power is now between 6pm and 7pm."
