Take a first look at the all-star cast of Norwich Theatre Royal's upcoming panto in new photos. 

The principal cast of Aladdin gathered at Norwich Theatre's Stage Two venue for the first time last week.

Joe Tracini is back by popular demand and stars as Aladdin’s brother Reg.

Lisa Maxwell, best known for her role as Samantha Nixon in ITV's The Bill, will play the Evil Aunt.

They were joined at the shoot by West End sensations Tarik Frimpong (Aladdin) and Meesha Turner (Jazz).

Owen Evans, part of Norfolk comedy duo The Nimmo Twins, donned heels for his role as Dame Molly Piecrust.

Wendy Ellis, Norwich Theatre creative programs and audience director and lead producer of the pantomime, said: "With just over 100 days until panto opens, it was with huge excitement and anticipation that the cast got together for the first time.

"There was much laughter and camaraderie as they met each other and enjoyed trying on costumes and make-up.

"The energy was infectious and we are now eager to get in the rehearsal room!”

Tracini said: “My favourite thing about Christmas is panto because I get to be a part of other people’s Christmases.

"I never forget that someone’s Christmas starts because they are watching us and I am really looking forward to being back."

Follow Aladdin in a magical adventure as he battles evil to save his true love.

Expect colourful costumes, singing, dancing and more glitter than you could shake a magic carpet at.
