A woman aged in her 80s was seriously injured in a crash on the A47. 

Emergency services were called to the road between Hockering and Honingham just before 10.20am on Tuesday. 

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a silver Honda CR-V travelling in opposite directions were involved in the crash. 

It was later confirmed that two other vehicles queueing at the Wood Lane junction were also damaged. 

The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa, a woman in her 80s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

The road was fully reopen by 12.30pm.

Officers are now looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or the manner of driving prior to it, or who has any relevant dashcam footage.
