A road will be closed for four days from today while speed humps are installed.
The humps will be positioned at both ends of the narrowed part of Bridge Street in Thetford.
The road has been permitted for closure until Friday (August 30) but Norfolk County Council's infrastructure department has said it will complete the job "as soon as possible".
Access to properties will be maintained throughout this time and a diversion route will be in place along Star Lane.
The work will cost £9,347.
