Two people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on the A47.

Emergency services were called at 2.52pm on Thursday to a collision on the A47 near Hockering, between Dereham and Norwich.

An air ambulance, three road ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.

Fire crews from Dereham and Carrow were also sent to the crash.

The scene was made safe and passengers were released using hydraulic rescue equipment.

Two people were taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.

The road was closed in both directions but reopened around midnight.
