The hard work and dedication of students at high schools across the Lowestoft area has been hailed.
There were celebrations and smiles aplenty as staff and students at academies and colleges in town celebrated their achievements.
With the teenagers opening their envelopes today and learning their all-important GCSE results, there was joy as "incredible" hard work, determination, dedication and resilience was recognised.
Preparing to take the next steps on their education journey, students at Ormiston Denes Academy on Yarmouth Road, Lowestoft collected their GCSE results.
With the hard work of the academy students recognised, there were celebrations as the whole academy - part of Ormiston Academies Trust - united in honouring the commitment and effort of the students.
As this was reflected in their results, some individual standout achievements included Ben Cubitt - who successfully achieved a grade 9 in science and two grade 8s in science and mathematics.
Eliza Harbord secured a strong set of results including a grade 9 in art, while
Jamie-Louise Hunt achieved a grade 8 in art and two grade 7s in history and science, alongside other great grades.
While the percentage of grades 4-9 in maths and English was not supplied, Kate Williams, Principal at Ormiston Denes Academy, said: "We are so proud of our Year 11s this year – they have worked incredibly hard, and we are so pleased to see some really standout achievements across our student body.
"A huge congratulations to them all.
"We look forward to seeing all that they go on to achieve as confident, successful, and happy individuals."
At Pakefield High School on London Road, headteacher Dan Bagshaw praised the efforts of the Year 11 students, teachers and staff.
While the percentage of grades 4-9 in maths and English was not supplied, Mr Bagshaw said: "As a school we have seen improvements across all headline measures and this reflects the hard work of not only our Year 11s, but the teachers and staff who have supported our young people in navigating the stresses of GCSEs.
"I would like to single out Ewan Harbord, Isla Henderson and Freddie Roberts for some exceptional grades across all of their subjects."

With the percentage of grades 4-9 in maths and English recorded as 63 per cent, principal Lucy Austin said: "We couldn't be more proud of our students, who have worked so hard.
"We're excited to see their next steps and wish them all the very best."
At Saint Felix School in Reydon, near Southwold, staff hailed the "incredible determination, dedication and resilience" of the students who have "all performed with great credit and have laid a strong foundation for entering our Sixth Form."
According to the school, the results have showed a significant improvement on the previous year across every metric, with 21pc achieving Grades 9-8, 36pc Grades 9-7, 62pc Grades 9-6 and 92pc Grades 9-4.
In a post on its Facebook page, Matthew Oakman, Head of Saint Felix, said: "Not only have this year group attained fantastic exam results, but they have also displayed the newly chosen school values in so many different ways; they have been creative, kind, honest, passionate and respectful.
"I look forward to seeing what they will now go on to achieve over the next two years with a real sense of excitement."
