Norwich has been named one of the best UK cities for retirees after a study compared local care costs and activities in the area.
The number of people in the UK over the age of 85 is predicted to triple by 2066, with deciding where to settle down becoming a crucial decision, experts have said.
To help navigate this choice, Compare the Market has researched which UK locations are currently the most and least set up for an ageing population.

Each city was ranked by the quality and cost of elderly care to the availability of leisure activities and green spaces in the area.
Key findings from the study have found that Norwich is the second-best city for retirees, offering one of the highest-rated healthcare systems, with 102 care homes per 10,000 pensioners.
Weekly residential home costs in Norwich have been deemed as slightly steeper than in Nottingham, which takes the top spot, averaging at £953.
The decision where to settle is impacted by everything from healthcare access to daily enjoyment, researchers have said.
