A popular annual bank holiday event is returning promising a day filled with music, magic, and merriment.

Lowestoft Lions Club is holding its main fundraising day on Monday at Nicholas Everitt Park in Oulton Broad.

The club has been organising significant fundraising events for the past six decades, and the Charity Family Fun Day is the latest in their long track record of support for those in need.

Lead organiser for the Lions, Mark Lanham said: “Lowestoft Lions Charity Family Fun Day will again be a daytime event running from 10am – 5pm and following positive feedback we have again put together an exciting fun day programme of entertainment with something for all ages.”

Entry to the event, which kicks off at 10am, is £6 for adults, £2 for children aged between 5 and 15, with under 5's going free.

Mr Lanham said: “On the main bandstand stage, we will have the fab Austin Beats who are a top sixties cover band, and the fabulous Tom Tonks.

"Elsewhere on the park the crowds will be amazed by the Van Buren magic, illusions, and escapology show – followed by circus skills workshops with audience participation encouraged.
