Mystery surrounds the death of a man in his 30s who died following a late-night swim in one of the city's rivers.
The man, who reportedly entered the River Wensum at 2.30am near Hellesdon Mill Lane and failed to resurface, has become the third person to die in the county's waters in recent days.
Searches took place throughout the night and early morning involving Norfolk Police, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, HM Coastguard and Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue.
The man's body was recovered at around 10am on Tuesday and his family was informed.
While the death is not believed to be suspicious, officers say they are continuing to investigate the exact circumstances of what happened.
It is not known why the man was swimming at that time or whether he was with anyone else.

His death is the latest in a spate of water deaths across the county.
On Saturday afternoon, a swimmer in his 70s died after getting into difficulties in the sea at Brancaster Beach.
The man was seen going into the sea but did not return, and following a search operation, his body was found in the water around two hours later.

The previous day, shortly before midnight on Friday,He is understood to have been on a launch with friends when the tragedy happened.
Witnesses say voices could be heard calling for the man in the dark and the emergency services were called at around 11.30pm.
The man's body was found at around 2.15pm on Sunday.
The deaths have prompted warnings, with organisations such as the Broads Authority and RNLI issuing water safety guidance.
Advice includes wearing a life jacket, avoiding boat propellers and limiting alcohol consumption when around the water.
