The owners of a family-run farm in the Norfolk Broads are due to make improvements to the business after being given the green light by planners.
A G Meale & Sons, based at Wayford Nursey near Stalham, is to swap its plastic polytunnels for a glasshouse.
The firm, which also has a farm shop and café on site, says this will help make the farm more sustainable, helping boost plant growth through the extra heat created.
The glasshouse will cover an area the size of roughly half a football pitch, where people will be able to visit and pick their own fruit and vegetables, which includes strawberries, plums, berries, sunflowers and pumpkins in the autumn.
At a recent Broads Authority (BA) planning meeting, members discussed the application, which received no objections.
It was approved by members with one abstention.
Harry Blathwayt, chairman of the BA, supported the application, saying: "This is a great local employer who work to high ethical standards."
